Cadets Set Academic Records

May 22, 2014

Congratulations to the Texas A&M Maritime Academy Corps of Cadets as they set an all-time high in their academic performance. For the spring of 2014, their overall grade point ratio (GPR) was a 2.80GPR – that is the highest spring semester GPR ever recorded for the Corps of Cadets! Another significant achievement for the Corps of Cadets was that 50% of the Cadets posted a 3.0 GPR or higher – this also is a first time ever record. And speaking of records, the Corps also posted its highest number of 4.0 GPR Cadets with 23 for the spring, a 50% increase over last spring. Finally, another milestone in the Corps academic journey was reached when the Corps’ GPR exceeded the university’s average-this too is a first ever record for the Corps. Congratulations and good job!
